The paintings are inspired by the journey of Alice in Wonderland. A girl so curious
about the world around her, that she follows the white rabbit into a dark unknown rabbit hole.

But the paintings do not reflect a fairytale idyll. If you examine the paintings you see that under the surface anxiety, horror and loneliness appear. Surreal elements, trees with prickles and a human head in a bag lie concealed in the images.

The paintings investigate the double-edged nature of risk, exploration, and the process of becoming adult.
